Caraline graduated from Central Saint Martin’s College in 2000 and worked for two years in London in creative advertising, producing concepts and ideas for interactive media. In 2002, she moved to Scotland to work on own projects and escape city life. Her work is inspired by the landscape around her and trips to the coast. She takes a mixed media, abstract approach to creating a painting. Her work is quite textured and incorporates parts of the landscape that inspires it. For instance in her seascape works she gathers sand, shells, rope and glass and layers them with acrylic mediums to build the picture.
